JM Kitchens was founded by Jeff Martin in February 1982. My son Josh was one year old and my daughter Jill hadn’t been born yet. There were no employees and one sub-contract installer. Now my kids have kids of their own and Josh works with me as manager! We peaked with 16 employees in 2006 and currently have 9, including 3 designers, 3 installers, one service manager, and a construction superintendent. We have well over 100 years combined experience in the cabinet and construction trades! We are an amazing team! And we always stand by our work! We purchased our building and moved into it in August of 1982. In 1988 the property and small building behind was purchased and used for storage until 1994 when the property next door was also purchased. It included a small rental home and garage. The garage was torn down along with the small building behind the original showroom and the remodel was on!

 

The showroom and offices originally totaled 1040 square feet and was expanded to 1840 square feet plus a 2000 sq. ft. shop/warehouse was added behind the rental house next door. And we’ve grown out of all that space! We stock some standard cabinetry and also have some used cabinetry for sale that has been removed during remodels.

 

Our showroom is extensive, with 10 kitchen displays, 3 bathroom displays and 3 office displays. In addition we have a hutch, 5 - 6 islands, and displays of Granite, Quartz, Solid Surface and Laminate countertops.

 

We have 4 major lines of cabinetry from inexpensive to full-custom and another 5 specialty lines available. We do computer-aided 3-D designs, and install cabinetry and countertops in homes from small rentals to huge custom homes throughout the Magic Valley and Wood River Valley. We are also licensed in Nevada and have done quite a bit of work in Elko, Wells, Ely and Wendover. We have done homes in Garden Valley north of Boise and as far east as Soda Springs. We’ve also done homes in Challis and Stanley to the north. And two winter homes in northern Mexico for our customers!

 

We always have a cabinet/countertop promotion in progress and something good on sale. Our website www.jmkitchens.com is undergoing constant improvement and our current promotions are listed there, along with photos of most of our showroom displays and a few of the homes we have done over the last 28 years.
